hi there

following another thread on prams, i have narrowed down my choice to the Bee or M&P Pilko or Switch.

I just wanted to see what Bee owners think of it? its such a big and expensive decision, although i may end up buying one 2nd hand. i need something light due to a back injury and the Bee is small, light and very easy to fold, so it appeals.

my main concern - have you found it big enough for baby? does baby grow out of it quickly? it is rather small!

any feedback would be much appreciated

many thanks xxx

I have had one since birth and my baby is very happy in it at 6 months - I can't speak for later obviously. The only downside was I don't think she slept as well in it at first as she would have done in a proper pram. It's very easy to get around and I love the size of it. I have no regrets.

We had one, really liked it. Was great for nipping in and out of the shops and cafes on Lordship Lane, not too bulky. Seemed fairly comfy for the baby (bigger wheels are even comfier, but too bulky and heavy). She used to sleep fine in it. We have a flat and hardly any storage space and it folded up smaller than other prams. But it is narrow, and our daughter seemed cramped in it at a year old. We switched to a stroller.

A couple of things went wrong with it in the year of guarantee (rain cover ripped and, more seriously, the brake stopped working) - luckily our retailer (Ladybugs in Stockport) were excellent.

thanks smiler. it does seem good for nipping around the shops. i would hate to get a pram and then end up not going out much because it placed too much strain on my back. i wear a back support and have physio every week but i still have to be very careful not to overdo it - very frustrating!

I am not sure if this has already been discussed on this forum. I heard that there could be problems with the brakes on the bugaboo bee. They could suddenly fail and this could obviously be dangerous.

The newest bee's have this problems fixed already but older ones can get special brackets for free from bugaboo. there is also a link to the photo of the brackets. I have ordered mine yesterday.

Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
