undertheivy
Hello East Dulwich!I am looking to convert the loft of my Victorian maisonette. It is one of those long thin flats that is mostly roof. I wanted to ask whether anyone has done it to theirs already and what was their experience like! Who did you use and were you happy? I've tried looking at houses from the street, but as the roof goes so far back, any extension would be hidden from view. ALL advice would be most welcome!Thank you for your help! All the best, Under the Ivyps: Same layout as this place: https://www.onthemarket.com/details/1960476/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/74759-victorian-maisonette-loft-conversion/ Share on other sites
Jeremy
I expect you can convert the main loft space (i.e. the traditional pitched roof over the front two rooms), but not the back section. Try looking at Bing maps in "bird's eye view" mode, will show very clearly if anyone else has done it.Probably stating the obvious, but you need to make sure you definitely own the loft - if you don't then buying it from the freeholder might be doable, but could be expensive.
