HayleyM
hi I am expecting my first baby in November 2009 and starting to think about the options available - nursery for 7/8 month yr old or a shared childcare in the East Dulwich/Peckham Rye area. i would not be needed to start the childcare until June/July next year but I was wondering if anyone has taken part in a childcare share, and if there is anyone they would recommend in the area or maybe someone interested in taking part in a childcare share in June/July next year - seems quite a long way off but thought i should start thinking about it now! canadianlisa
Hi Hayley I would be interested in at least a conversation about this. We are expecting our 1st baby as well at the end of October. I am going to take a year off so will not be going back to work until the following October but it may still be possible to work something out. I have just started to look into the cost and availabilty of childcare for when I do go back to work and it seems both difficult to arrange and very expensive for variable quality. Quite of few of the threads on nurseries in Dulwich mention that you need to put your babies names down at birth which is a bit scary. PM if you'd like to talk more or meet up at some stage in the future. ClareC
Hiya, We are expecting our first baby in January, I too have started to look into childcare and found the whole subject a minefiled not to mention being scared at how early you need to put names down despite not necessarily knowing when you will go back to work or whether it will be full or part time etc! Also choosing a nursery / childminder seems a nightmare! I would imagine I would still be off in June / July next year (I hope) but would definitely be interested in any child care sharing ideas etc Clare Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7477-childcare-share/#findComment-237005 Share on other sites
kittysailing
Hi HayleyI'm expecting my first baby in November too! I too am thinking of going back to work in June/July I am based near the Villa Nursery in Camberwell - they take kids after two but told me they can't take names til the baby is born! I am thinking of a childminder before then and would be interested in talking more. All the best.K Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7477-childcare-share/#findComment-237206 Share on other sites
