Dulwich Estates - Lease Extension

Hi,

I'm new to this forum so apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place!

Just wondered if anybody has experience extending a lease with dulwich estates?

We are in the process of buying a flat which the current owner is planning on extending the lease (currently 58 years)

The dulwich estates website estimates 4 months from start to finish - but has anybody gone through this process and can confirm?

Any replies welcome :)

The vendor has legal rights to do this if they have lived there for 2 years, and if all goes well 4 month sounds about right, your solicitor should be advising you on this.

The vendor has lived in the flat for 9 years and so we know already he can legally extend the lease

I understand every case is different but just hoping a few people on here would have some experience actually going through a lease extension with Dulwich Estates ?

http://www.hall-law.co.uk/ are very good ,opposite the Catholic Church next to Dulwich Library .I think they have experience of this .
