hazelnunhead
I am looking for someone who might have done this before to advise / do the work on our fireplace.Due to the age of the brickwork behind our current wood burner (and before that an open fire) - the bricks have started to crumble and I would like to get this repaired. The wood burner has been removed so is ready to be repaired in time for fire burning!I think the options are either to replace the bricks (not sure how big a job this is?) or to plaster over the existing bricks. I understand their is special fireproof board that can be used behind a burner? If anyone has experience of this please PM me, I would love to get a quote to start this work. Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/75345-help-needed-repairingreplacing-brick-work-behind-wood-burner/ Share on other sites
