It encourages the use of the deep, core muscles, whilst also integrating the other muscle groups so that your movement combines stability with mobility. Pilates is also recommended by physiotherapists and osteopaths. I have over 20 years of teaching experience and qualified through The Body Control Pilates Association (www.bodycontrolpilates.com), to teach mat and studio equipment, with specialist qualification in ante and post natal exercise and training for pilates & low back pain and osteoporosis.
