The Relatively Good Radio Show presents... DAY OF THE DEAD

We are delighted to announce our Day of the Dead party will be held at The Joiners Arms, 35 Denmark Hill, SE5 8RS, 8pm - 1am, Saturday 31st October. It's like Halloween, but for grown ups with sophisticated tastes!

Even more exciting than drinking tequila and celebrating the dead are WHISKEY MOON FACE! Featuring the sublime vocal talents of Louisa Jones, who's exquisite lyrics quite literally stop people in the street and turn their hair white. When she played The Greyhound recently hard bitten Irish lads were openly weeping at the beauty of her voice. Hearing is believing! WMF are the very pinnacle of the new London folk movement, and one of the very best bands in the country.

Spinning the tracks between the bands, DJ DEATHS RATTLE DAZZLE, the vampire of Camberwell - he'll curl your toes and get you back across the River Styx.

The whole night is being ousted by us - The Relatively Hood Radio Show (every Sunday 3-4pm, Resonance 104.4FM, Londons Arts radio). We'll be playing a set too.

Surprises, games, free drinks and silliness are guaranteed. Join us at the Joiners for a night of dark delight!

Those who made it to the Day of the Dead at Nutbrook Street know we know how to party. You don't have to come dressed up, but you'll be dead upset if you stick out like a regular Joe.

Tickets are ?10 in advance from www.therelativelygoodradioshow.com

    • Is it just me, or are some of the cars around East Dulwich now roughly the size of a modest one-bed flat? Our lovely Victorian streets were designed for horses, carts and the occasional penny-farthing — not rolling apartment blocks on wheels. Earlier today someone tried to pass me while driving squarely down the middle of the road, seemingly too terrified to move over in case their wing mirror brushed a leaf. We ended up in a sort of slow-motion standoff that felt less “road sharing” and more “Wild West showdown”. I completely understand wanting a safe, comfy car — but when the vehicle is wider than the street and both drivers need a deep breathing exercise just to squeeze past each other, it might be time to ask whether the car fits the postcode. Maybe we need Victorian-era width limits reinstated… or complimentary tape measures issued with every CPZ permit? 😉
    • Sad to hear about Mike Dulwich Fox he was a local lad born and brought up in the area.  R.I.P Bob S
    • Excellent news! I googled and came up with a thread from this forum about Jamie being forced out. I had posted the link, but when I read the thread I didn't think it was appropriate to post because  It was started by Dulwich Fox, who sadly died last year (R.I.P.), and contained comments by and to him which were not relevant to the actual closure.
