Netbook hard drive packed up last night and took my recovery partition with it.

Does anyone have an old installation disc/sub?

You should be able to recover files with a Ubuntu Live CD which you can boot from and copy the files to a USB stick...As for the iso, MS have a dedicated site for that and their own media creation tool.
