Any volunteering opportunities in East Dulwich?

Just wondered if anyone knows of any local schemes looking for volunteers at the moment? Any tips very gratefully received.

Dulwich Helpline are usually looking for volunteers to support local elderly people and the asylum seekers hostel at the top of Barry Rd I imagine are pretty busy at the moment - They were looking for someone to sort donations a while back but there are probably many options there....the charity shops are always short of volunteers and the local library runs on volunteers now I think. Do you have a type/area of volunteering that you think you would enjoy?

Kings College Hospital have a large volunteering programme and are always recruiting new volunteers. Very rewarding.

Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers (SDCAS) is a very friendly and welcoming organisation to volunteer for. Have a look at their website www.sdcas.org.uk.
