Devonlass15
Hi there Helen,I've been a registered childminder for a year and half now and it took me roughly 7 months from the initial meeting to being able to look after children. However, alot depends on how quickly your course follows your pre-reg meeting and all the red tape you have to go through, such as CRB checks. Mine were really fast but I have known childminders whose CRB's took ages to come back.Hopefully you won't have to wait long, good luck, it's a great job to have these days and just to reassure you, I constantly had people asking me if I had vacancies, there's a big lack of qualified and reliable childminders out there!Elly Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7728-registering-as-a-childminder/#findComment-242318 Share on other sites
