For twins, the best thing I have found, apart from the twins club, is the CP One o'clock club) open mornings as well as afternoon,s but not free) and when the weather is good, the P Rye one o'c club. Also sing and sign classes are very good, and charge you just for one place, if you have twins. Though the main venues (Goose green centre etc) are awkward to park and handle a double buggy unless you allow absolutely ages.

Leapers at Rye Oak Primary is good too, they let you take your buggy up in the lft if you have twins. It's two mornings or afternoons a week (tues and Weds?) though parking is hard there as well.

I actually manage swim lessons for mine, Dolphin swim school in Mictahm will provide an adult to take the second baby in, for a few quid on top of the class fee.

There are quite a few places I have been and it's just been too difficult to manage twins unless I am with other adults.

    • A friend of mine was into "skill swap" about 40 years ago. It wasn't within an organised scheme, she just offered services like help with painting in exchange for services received. She upset some people as they carried out their services for a living, I.e. for money. An organised scheme sounds much better.
    • Gosh, that is a blast from the past.  Friends in York were into this, he was an accountant and had things like decorating done in exchange.  Not sure if it was equivalent in terms of hours, and I recall HMRC being interested as it was a way of tax avoidance.   A link for a London wide scheme but have no idea of its popularity: https://www.londonwide.letslink.org/members/index.php
    • Is anyone else having problems trying to register their car for a residents LTN permit for upland road as the council web site only seems to want to allow blue badge holders a permit .
    • Posted around 12 cards 2 weeks prior to 24th December. Had some responses so know people have received them. Had about 20 cards - mixture of hand delivered and via post. After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family  ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
