Applespider
My uncle died in July at 46. He was a personal trainer and an ultra runner - organised (and ran until recently) the West Highland Way race - 95 miles in 36 hours. He had a heart attack while on a training jaunt up Lochnagar. Totally unexpected and threw quite a few of his family and friends for a loop. louisiana
I had a neighbour die at 40, from a blood clot on the lung, in her sleep. Clean-living woman. And I have had three near-death experiences myself (20, 30, and 39). Seems too many for one person. It does change you. Once you get beyond the huge immediate physical and psychological impact (emergency operations, PTSD), you do live your life in a different way. Long-term planning takes on a very different meaning. Tony.London Suburbs
Yes, "near death" experiences allow people to prioritise afterwards and concentrate on the really important things in life like other people's grammattical errors, for example. It, usually, stops people being pedantic as they realise the "little things" matter not one jot. Brendan
You have either misinterpreted what I said or your last post was in seriously bad taste. I?ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the former.
