Overturned car on Grove Vale (relating to last week) wrong info broadcast today

Recommended Posts

I have just spoken to Steve Phillips at BBC London Traffic who has apologised for broadcasting erroneous information. He received the information from Travel Link who supplies them with the information for bulletins. It took Travel Link almost 2 hours to realise that they had given BBC London the same information relating to last week's accident.

Thank goodness there wasn't another accident and my condolences to the family of the man who was killed last week.

Hello,

Apologies for the incorrect information on this accident broadcast this morning. After some research, the source of this was traced back to an out-of-date email automatically sent to our supplier Trafficlink from Transport for London's Bus department.

As soon as it was clear it was an error, I was contacted and omitted it from subsequent broadcasts. Apologies again for any distress caused.

Best,

Steve from the Travel Team.

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
