CaityB
Does anyone know of a boy friendly dance class around Dulwich/East Dulwich/Forest Hill/Sydenham areas. My son is 9 and desperate to learn to dance- modern or classic. Thanks in advance. sillywoman
A good friends son does dance (street and other boy friendly stuff) at the Laban Centre - I think it's in New Cross? He seems to love it and has been going for several years now (he's now 11 or so, but I think he started when he was 9). Crokes
Not sure if it's still the case but GDND (search for miss danni on here) does a street dance class on a Tuesday at the Goose Green Centre (next to the church) and it used to be very popular and full of boys. sylviamaria
LCN in Blackheath is quite good for modern dance/performance. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/78726-boy-friendly-dance-class/#findComment-913493 Share on other sites
newtoedf
I think Fiona Foster does a boys-only ballet class at push studios in blackwater street but you'd have to contact her via Facebook as the website doesn't seem to be working at the moment - Fiona Foster School of Dance. My son, who's a few years younger, goes to one of her mixed classes (along with 2 other boys) and enjoys it a lot. cazbee
Another one is Theatre Peckham. They have affordable classes for street dance based at Peckham Library, and other classes at Peckham Academy such as musical theatre which has some choreography. My son is younger (nearly 5) and has enjoyed the musical theatre classes from the beginning.
