  2. Suzanne James is local and amazing for food and catering for events. There's lots of recommendations on here for her too if you look in the tradesperson section. https://suzannejames.co.uk
  3. Hi, I highly recommend Margaret's Music which runs a piano school. Margaret and her team are fantastic and very friendly. https://www.margaretsmusicltd.com/book/
  4. Bellingham and Beckenham spa soft play have both opened up. You have to book online in advance and both are limiting numbers of attendees for each session. Bellingham sessions are 1 hour and Beckenham spa sessions are an hour and a half.
  5. Can anyone shed any light on how busy busy the trains are coming out of London travelling to Peckham Rye at the moment please? Asking for a friend who has been shielding but has an unavoidable train journey to make. Thanks in advance
  6. I heard that you can drop off at Really Maria's on Lordship Lane, as it's a collection point for masks/scrubs/washbags etc. They will then be distributed where needed most.
  7. I agree about speaking to the school. It?s horrible to see them go through this but really positive that she has told you. We?ve found this book useful: ?Bullies, bigmouths & so called friends? by Jenny Alexander. Good luck & hope things improve soon.
  8. Hi, there?s one on Tuesday mornings at the Copleston Centre, Copleston Road from 9.30-11.30. It?s a brilliant space & they are very welcoming.
  9. Yes they are: /forum/read.php?25,2028137,2028137#msg-2028137
  10. Another recommendation for Nick. Called him as a result of the posts above and was very happy with the work he carried out to fix our fence. He is efficient, polite, professional and well priced. I would definitely use him again.
  11. Just a reminder that this is on today at The Green in Nunhead. The first performances start from 11am today, with sessions through the afternoon too. There are still some tickets available for the 6pm Harpsichord concert (these can be purchased from The Green today).
  12. FREE workshops and concerts at the Nunhead Piano Festival, 10am - 5pm on Sunday 30th September at The Green Community Centre, Nunhead - Pianists aged 4 to 99 - all levels and abilities can apply to perform for the community - Free Taster Piano Session - Free Music Workshops - Evening Harpsichord Performance by Gary Sieling For information and registration and/or tickets for the evening harpsichord performance email Margaret Omoniyi at [email protected] More information also available at: http://www.margaretsmusicltd.com/pianofestival.html
  13. Another recommendation for Nico the plumber who fixed our saniflo toilet and a leaky tap. Speedy, professional and gets the job done at a reasonable price. Mobile: ‭07818 607583‬
  14. No experience of Camber Sands. Broadstairs is lovely as previous posters have said but watch out for the seagulls; not wanting to scare you off but try not to eat on the beach, because they prey on anyone eating/holding food (they?ll take it out of your hand whilst you?re eating!)& are pretty big close up (especially for little ones).
  15. If you're looking for somewhere really special then afternoon tea at the Cafe Royal (by Piccadilly Circus) or the Mirror Room at the Rosewood Hotel (near Holborn) are both fantastic food and very memorable settings. They are more ??? but are very quiet on a weekday. Booking through opentable.co.uk is easy and good for comparing reviews/prices. Wherever you end up, enjoy!
  16. What howl said. eBay has changed recently & it no longer seems to be ?buyer beware?. If you request to return the item, then you will get your money back (the seller cannot refuse a return unless they just refund you/offer you a partial refund). If there are any problems, start an issue through the resolution centre.
  17. I was very pleased to find Aston through this thread - he fixed a couple of large areas of damp in our kitchen and did a fantastic job. I'd highly recommend him (and use him again) as he was professional, reliable, very knowledgable and reasonably priced. Aston's number is 07490947355.
  18. I followed up on these recommendations for Tom King, he came today to fix a broken dimmer switch, replace an unsafe light switch fixing and check a shaver socket that had been filled with liquid soap(!). He was just as others have described and did a great job, was very professional and efficient.
