Suspicious man - Woodwarde Road 6.45am 13/10

This morning at 6.45am on Woodwarde Road / Druce road I saw a guy hanging around looking into cars and front windows. I followed him at a distance for a bit and saw more of the same. He then went down into the village and towards and into North Dulwich station.

Description: tall male, approx 6 ft 3, light/sandy hooded top, dark cargo trousers and Nike air trainers

Still quite dark at that time...just perhaps worth keeping vigilant as winter sets in.

6.45 am is quite late for people who are up to no good- unless they are curious about what time people leave in the mornings to go to work and they still have the cover of darkness at this time of year.

Have you reported this to the police?

There is a possibility that he was looking into cars and windows because he was trying to see what could be stolen. Anyone who has been burgled will remember how upsetting and inconvenient the experience is.

Even just a smashed car window is expensive and bothersome to replace, and sometimes car thieves will break windows just because they have seem a bag without even knowing if there are valuable in it.

Please be safe rather than sorry and report anything suspicious to the police.
