I bought a pack of 7 pairs from Mothercare in my pre-baby "must buy everything they stock" frenzy, tried using them once, and then never used them again. None of my friends used them either - just keep babies nails short (easy when they're small, chew them or cut with little nail clippers) and you'll be fine. Alternatively there are some sleepsuits you can buy with fold over scratch mitts which I think would be much more effective.

We were given some with amusing words on (can't remember now) which were quite useful at night for a few weeks when baby B was majorly into gouging himself in his sleep. Didn't use them for long though as he tended to chew them and they just got soggy. Also, they grow out of the scratching phase relatively quickly. Can't say ours were anything special and they stayed on fine. I'd get a cheap pair and see how they go.
Same here, had a load in different colours to match every babygrow... never used one! In fact, the nurses in hospital just told me to use socks instead. Or the best thing would be to get the babygrows that have the built in ones that fold over as legalbeagle said. But just keeping baby's fingernails trimmed (use a nail file when they sleep as it will make less sharp edges than nail clippers) would be the best solution!

    • Warning to parents using the playground in Dulwich Park. My daughter and her friends found a bag of ‘crunchy powder’ in the children’s playground this morning around 11ish. They thought it was ‘popping candy’ and all tried some before seen with it. Request to parents using the playground - if you see plastics bags with suspect looking contents or powder on the floor in the playground or park: pick it up and throw it in the bin. Don’t walk past and think someone else will deal with it. The next person to walk by might be a child who could pick it up not understanding what it could be. Hopefully our daughter and her friends will be ok and it’s a lucky escape. But please be aware in case anyone else’s child may have found it before them.
    • I’m looking for some ply sheets, ideally 9mm or 12mm. It doesn’t have to look good. As long as it’s not rotten it’ll be fine. I’d like bigger sheets, but I’m open to whatever anyone’s got. If you can help, drop me a DM.  Cheers
    • the only known name is from that poster in the window where it says to email [email protected]. I thought that website might shed some light on who is creating the posters I hope whoever was attacked is doing ok, but agree there is something very off/vigilante-ish about all of this
    • Sorry to be dim, but where has that link come from and why is it relevant to this thread? I'm not doubting you, just wondering if I've missed something above!
