thanks both. It's for 5 and 6 year olds. Both those suggestions are a bit far away from us - the nearest place to us would be the baptist church on Bushey Hill Road but I worry that we'd be rattling around in there! But maybe they'd just like being able to race around in a nice big space.

They do have the barn, and it's a great space. When we looked in to this it was ?75 for the rental. We didn't go for it though as the total price can add up quite quickly as you have to then buy all the food and drinks for the kids through the venue.

thanks both. I've been to winter parties at the Herne and my experience was that it was very cold in there! Plus at least 3 children (including my daughter) are veggie and there was no veggie option other than just a plate of chips at the parties I went to, though that might have changed. I don't want to fork out for their food anyway, tbh, money is quite tight right now. That kind of size is good though.

    • Do you mean they are chopping branches from trees in your garden? I would definitely get advice on that eg from the neighbourhood police. I'm not familiar with the law, but that sounds like trespass to me, even if they are not actually standing in your garden. People are entitled to chop off branches etc which are overhanging their own garden, but I am pretty sure they are  not allowed to lean over and chop off anything in yours, whether they dislike it or not.
