Looking for weekly cleaner - 3 bed New Cross Gate
antantant posted a topic in Request a Tradesperson
Hi there, We are looking for a weekly cleaner for our 3 bed house near New Cross Gate. Normal tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, etc. Looking for someone reliable, through, willing to use initiative to see what needs to be done. Please send me a private message if you're interested. -
Has anyone had a side return extension done?
antantant replied to ukdealguide's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Can anyone give a really rough idea as to what a side return costs to have done? In a terrace round ED with no real easy access? I know it's a difficult question but I have no idea if it's 50k or 250k -

Pretty sure I saw a Papa John's being installed at Queens Road Peckham when going past on the bus yesterday. Taking over the old cafe which was fish and chips shop before that. More pizza!?

I had something similar happen with me in there when I tried to check 3 lottery tickets. (Kids were playing in the park, I'd bought ice creams from the shop 1 hour earlier, but went back later to check tickets). Haven't been back :(

Sainsbury's New Cross Gate still have bins. Or there is one at Rye Lane Asda.

If we get promoted can I still have a beer at the games?

Hi there, I'm just looking for two strongish people to move two assembled wardrobes from the ground floor to the first floor bedroom, and to bring down the one wardrobe that is there. I think the whole job would take about 20 mins. Please PM me if you would be interested and let me know what you would charge me - we're located just off Old Kent Road near New Cross Gate and could be done during the day if this week or in the evening. Thanks

Thanks for this. As a Nunheader I'm getting a little bored of our transport options being reduced, even so slightly.

There is a newish Korean on Lewisham Way near New Cross Gate called Paranhodu. Well worth a look! Anyone been to Lovely House Dim Sum?
antantant replied to pleaseandthankyou's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I tried Lovely House a couple of years ago, and while the food was good but obviously from frozen, the service was amazing, the staff were lovely and I promised I'd be back, but.... Royal China is my go-to. Ferry from Surrey Quays Hilton to the one at Canary Wharf for a fun family outing on a Sunday, or Bayswater for the fuller experience. Hong Kong City was sadly disappointing a couple of weeks ago, but no doubt I'll give it another go in a few months. Haven't tried Dragon Castle... -
Trains cancellations - latest
antantant replied to DovertheRoad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I somehow managed to squeeze on at Queens Road Peckham, but certainly didn't make any friends. The trains are actually making life misery at the moment. When I moved to the area 5 years ago I had 8 trains per hour to London bridge. Now I have 1, delayed and four car. XIX Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 0730 delayed en route today. Only 7 minutes late > in the end, but that's not the point - this > timetable change was meant to ensure reliability > and timeliness. AND it was short formation - only > 4 carriages. FFS. Its just a joke. -
Any little hotels bnbs round here?
antantant replied to mysticmark's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Peckham Lodge has been taken over by Best Western? Hopefully this means a better experience than when my parents stayed there a couple of years ago. They AirBNB now with varying success. -
Mamma Dough at Queens Road Peckham is open.

Anywhere selling dairy free cakes in ED?
antantant replied to skylorikeet's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I know it's less exciting but I get stuff from the Sainsbury's "Freefrom" section for my dairy allergic son. http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/food-cupboard/bakery-172214-44#langId=44&storeId=10151&catalogId=10122&categoryId=172214&parent_category_rn=12422&top_category=12422&pageSize=30&orderBy=FAVOURITES_FIRST&searchTerm=&beginIndex=0 Probably don't fit the "beautiful" bill though! -
