  1. Fair enough - we did skater tots from 2.5 to 3 and parents were definitely not allowed on the ice (I tried!). Must be different rules as the kids get older.
  2. My 3 year old did the ice skating lessons at Streatham for a few weeks after trying it once with me on holiday and loving it. It was great, and it was on the weekends, but it's kids only - parents are not allowed on the ice during the lesson. Turns out he was a bit too young to follow all the instructions so we're going to try again next year.
  3. It was always going to be via OKR. Cashless buses already taught us that tfl public consultations count for nothing.
  4. How do we get some more Victoria bound trains to stop at Peckham Rye in the mornings? It's so frustrating seeing them go straight past, half empty from a rammed Platform 3 at PR.
  5. I always use Rye Cars in Peckham. They have provided both infant and child seats. http://www.ryecars.com/
  6. New cafe for Nunhead... http://peckhampeculiar.tumblr.com/post/130262886534/new-cafe-for-nunhead#
  7. John the Unicorn has turned from "opening September" to "Opening Autumn" :( http://johntheunicorn.com/ (I check the website way too often)
  8. I've now been to Dead Doll's a few times, I really like it and have found the staff and punters to be super friendly. Looking forward to trying the food soon, it looks great. ?6 for a double G&T I didn't think was bad. Give it another go mancity!
  9. We had our 3 year old son's birthday at the former 1 O'clock club in peckham rye (in March) and everyone had an ace time. PM me if you want more details.
  10. Pedler are opening a cocktail bar and pizza restaurant near Queens Road station - I can't wait :) http://peckhampeculiar.tumblr.com/post/123366630484/exclusive-new-dining-destination-for-queens-road

That's a shame, I was looking forward to trying it out! Hopefully first night jitters as you said. Did you have to bring something to donate? I think I read about it somewhere...?
  12. I like them - much quicker at busy stops with three entrances / exits. I do only get them a short distance though - (#8 from Shoreditch High Street)
  13. It's ace. You will find most people go early and leave early. Just before closing we managed to go on rides with no queues at all, which earlier in the day we had had to wait an hour for. As buggie mentions if you buy a package from the official website you get entry for the second day free which was tempting but in the end we decided we only wanted one day at pp world so booked hotel separately. We stayed in Southampton, but if I did it again I'd stay in Winchester, and hang around on the second day for a nice Sunday roast somewhere and a wander around the cathedral / markets, and be a little bit closer to London for a shorter drive home.
  14. Updates on The Hope and John the Unicorn in Peckham. Can't wait! http://johntheunicorn.com/ http://peckhamhope.com/
  15. The Nines - new in Peckham looks interesting too... http://www.theninespeckham.co.uk/
  16. Just pot or real drugs?
  17. 08:01 from Peckham Rye was rammed this morning, probs due to bus strike. It was so rammed that people were laughing. Somehow the train made good time though, only a few mins late into Farringdon.
  18. The Gowlett is opening a pop up at the Brick Brewery in Peckham starting from this weekend too. http://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/the-crust-conductor
  19. Had coffee at Trio early last Saturday morning. The coffee was good and the space great. Will go back for lunch one day. Then had breakfast at Cafe G on the Rye and it was really, really tasty, although a bit more expensive than I usually pay. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Trio has finally opened on Bellenden Road.
  20. Looks like all Thameslink trains to Sevenoaks are cancelled tonight? Be prepared for packed #63s
  21. I walked through from Peckham Morrisons to Rye Lane today - lots of empty units in the Aylesham Centre - the surprisingly not terrible Chinese restaurant is gone and the variety shop on the corner is closed up.
  22. In case anyone else is interested... I just had a response from Antic pubs - they're looking at The Hope (Melon St Peckham) opening in 6 weeks and John the Unicorn in mid March. Very exciting, and really impressed at their quick response to me. antantant Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Does anyone know when "The Hope" is opening? 23. Just sent them an email - both "The Hope" and "John the Unicorn" are taking longer than I hoped! Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It is still "coming soon" according to the > website... maybe worth an email/tweet?
  24. Does anyone know when "The Hope" [New Antic bar near Whetherspoons in Peckham Rye] is opening? I thought it was meant to be September last year?
  25. The removal of APD for kids under 12 from May 1 will only save ?13 per child for a Europe flight...
