We are planning on having a sleeping bag collection so if you have any you do not require, please contact the Trust ([email protected])

Once again, we would like to thank the people of Dulwich and surrounding areas for your generosity and all those who helped make this happen.

Great work! Would this be of interest? Received from a friend and happening tonight (Tuesday)

Refugees are currently living in atrocious conditions in parts of Europe. Cold and wet weather mean new born babies are suffering with hypothermia and aid agencies struggling to cope, do not have enough blankets to give them. Makeshift camps do not have proper shelter, warmth and sanitation. Thousands of people have drowned this year, escaping, war, poverty and persecution.

As Winter approaches we must do more to help refugees:

    • We did L-shaped conversion and put the bathroom in the middle so could be shared by both front and rear bedrooms and strongly recommend this. We'd stayed in places with ensuite bathrooms in front bedroom and didn't want kids / guests having to walk through front bedroom from back bedroom. All of our loft rooms feel spacious and have lots of light. You can add more roof windows and adding a side window in addition to rear window on back bedroom makes a huge difference to the feel and light. Think how you'll use the rooms and where the furniture will go; and pay attention to where you'll have reduced headroom as this catches lots of people out and having to make mid-build changes. Suggest view your neighbours lofts and see what you like and what you don't. Hope this helps
    • please message if you have one for sale. thank you
    • I believe the part that runs underground is culverted so would not contribute to the water table.
    • People who did an L-shaped loft conversion in a mid terrace Victorian, did you put the bathroom in the middle of the landing or an en-suite off the master? And whichever you chose, are you glad you did it that way? We're struggling to decide layout. We want to maximise light and 'niceness' of rooms rather than boxy and dark. Any reflections are most welcome.
