Develop Your Voice - East Dulwich Based Singing Teacher

Hello, I'm a professional singer (Ronnie Scott's Club, The John Wilson Orchestra (does the Proms most years), BBC Concert Orchestra, Lenny Henry Show, Paul O'Grady Show, etc) and I love teaching other people how to build confidence and get the most from their singing and speaking voice. I trained with a classical singer (English National Opera and Head of Opera at the Royal College of Music) and studied jazz. I've also studied the Estill Model of voice production (used by many good Drama schools). Seeing my students, the youngest of whom is 13 now and the oldest in his late 60s, gaining in confidence and developing their singing and public speaking is a real pleasure for me. I had great teachers myself and enjoy passing on what I was taught and what I've learned in the last 20 years performing professionally. Everyone can improve and enjoy their voice, whether they've got a Steinway in there or a more modest instrument, if they want to put in a bit of effort. It's a muscle that needs to be gently exercised and coaxed in the right way. I charge ?30ph and teach in my studio in East Dulwich. Whether someone wants to build up the confidence to join a choir, stand in the spotlight or in front of colleagues and deliver a presentation with focus I have the experience and enthusiasm to help them. I look forward to hearing from you!

    • Once again. Worth repeating - it’s not that Labour can’t  or shouldn’t be criticised  but the reaction to everything being “is this the end for starmer?” Is such a symptom of a broken countr. He isn’t very good but he isn’t behaving in any outrageous ways, and we haven’t had 3 Labour leaders in between an election - so calling for one or saying the leader should be replaced is just hysterical    the Tories record in power since Brexit has broken people’s minds
    • The Chagos deal was done by the last government and they just paused it 6 months before the election as it was obv political dynamite.
    • Another strong recommendation for Sam's work - he recently did a super job installing a new subfloor in our bedroom and we're really pleased with how its turned out. Very reasonable fee, very neat and tidy finish and an all round lovely guy.
    • Part of it will be U.K.s place in the world out of the EU, dealing with sociopaths in us government.  It can ill afford to have a complete falling out with china  but who knows   Mostly what we are reading is the usually shadowy stuff from, shall we say, vested interests against Labour, without an awful lot by way of substance
