Well done Quids.

Though I suspect the Roadies Club had a thing or two to say on the matter

"The Floyd...bloody great pig...15 pantechnicos...biggest stage wall in the world".

"The Stones...a bloody escalator...18 pantechicons...biggest stage in the world"

"U2...a bloody great lemon...20 pantechnicons...biggest screen in the world"

Quids "Bragg...guitar and teabags...train...biggest nose in the world"

I hope you didn't take it to heart.

    • Ah, thanks,  it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?)  take over what  was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination?  In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia  as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.

    • A belated recommendation for Iain and Paul od Oddbods who came to help me with various jobs before Christmas.  Painting ceiling, renewing silicone around bath, repairing a window sill which was almost beyond repair and hanging a large mirror.   Very happy with their work and they are friendly and very reliable and excellent at communicating.  No hesitation in recommending them.
