Where exactly is Herne Hill,is it next door to East Dulwich?

I was told by a work colleague that it was easier to travel from

Barbican to Herne Hill, then to East Dulwich.

Also is Dulwich Village West Dulwich and do they have a train station of there own?

Sorry to sound a bit daft (but Im new round here) maybe should do some exploring

Isnt Tulse Hill next door to West Dulwich?

A-Zs work wonders - you don't need to be here ;-)

Herne Hill is due west of E. Dulwich, maybe 1.5 miles, and is on the Thameslink line which has services straight through London, but I don't remember them stopping at Barbican: Farringdon's probably the closest you'll get. The bus between HH and ED is the no. 37.

If it's commuting you're talking about I'd probably take the train from ED to Tulse Hill and chage there onto the Thameslink.

Tulse Hill is south of Herne Hill again about 1.5 miles, and West of West Dulwich. WD does indeed have a station, it's on the South Circular, and on a different rail line to ED.

Have a look at this map

    • My thoughts exactly when I found them I was thinking hope she is OK, have a feeling her bag was maybe snatched and then these items were just thrown.. I'm sure the police will pass it on to the passport office I just didn't have the time to get over there anytime soon. And agree they wasn't very helpful at all unfortunately I felt I was causing a problem with just handing them in !!
    • Thank you Malumbu for your reassurance. It's an absolute disgrace for people to be making any racist conspiracy theories. These are the lost lives of men, women & children.....so upsetting.
    • I found two Bolivian children's passports, pristine on the pavement in our suburban street. Concerned for the owners, I notified the police. They were rude and dismissive so I contacted the Bolivian Embassy who were helpful, grateful and keen to have them back.
    • Yes ofcourse was just taking a chance someone may see it and I could give it directly to them, when you send back to passport office they don't inform the person they have received it... dropped off to police station now
