Primary school waiting lists - AGAIN!!!

just tried to rescurrect an old post but its gone into the classified section for some reason - anyway, just wondereing if anyone has had any luck getting a place at their preferred school after being on a waiting list.

we're currently 2nd on the list for the school we want and my daughter is due to start in January. am desperately hoping there will be some movement but am beginning to get really stressed about it all again.

In my son's class while he has been in nursery, reception and year one, there has been one or two pupils leaving each year, usually in the Summer.

In your case, you're waiting for 2 families not to take up their places offered... because they move or get a place at another school they prefer (or get into a private school)

Your chances are quite good, i'd say.

I know at least one NCT friend who recently sold and moved and didn't need the school place she had for her son.. you can only hope a pick up in the housing market will be your saviour! Are you waiting for nursery or reception?
