No.42 bus route being extended

Can't find anything on tfl website but this confirms what I've heard locally about the no.42 route being extended to Sainsburys.

Why does it have to take another year? At this rate the 63 extension to HOP may arrive in 2025!

The problem with the 63 extention to HOP is where the buses would terminate / park up and where they could turn around.

It would probably cost about 2 car parking spaces to turn the 63 round on Brockley Rise with the P12 and 172.

If a couple of cycle "super highways" can be blasted through I am sure that TfL has the wherewithal to free up a couple of parking spaces. It just depends on will and interest.

Still wondering why it takes a year for the implementation of the new extension to No 42 route kicks in....

Only guessing but I imagine they will need to source extra buses and drivers.

The contract with TfL is soon up and October 2016 is when the new one starts.
