Hi Daisy

Go to the post you want to delete, click on "edit", delete all the text in the heading and main part of the post and replace the heading and post with a dot .

It won't completely delete the thread, but it will remove all the content.

I can do the same with this post once you've done yours.

The most helpful thing is simply to edit your first post. Add a SOLD at the start of the subject line. Then anyone looking for the item can see at a glance that it's now gone.
