short term violin loan for 6 year old

I have a 6 year old that would like to try the violin (a small one!). I think he'll be able to play at school next year but I'd like to hire or borrow one until September. Does anyone know how I should go about finding one? Thanks

Are you planning to try private lessons until Sept? In which the teacher will be able to advise where to buy.

You can often hire them from about ?5/month and if you decide to buy then some of the rental fee is deducted from the purchase price (the latter is around ?80). You could also enquire at South London Music on Grove Vale and they should be able to point to in the right direction.
