Veg slicer for huge coleslaw this Xmas

Advice needed, I am planning to make a nice coleslaw for a large family gathering for Boxing day. I can't face slicing everything (carrots, cabbage etc) by hand. In the past my magimix processor hasn't been so successful for slicing. Does anyone have a great gadget that can speed my slicing?

Have a look for a Japanese Mandolin slicer -they have them on amazon or in any decent cookware shop. Do get one with a guard though as the blades are very sharp!
