Driving Instructor recommendations for a nervous mum!

If you want to learn automatic, I'd highly recommend Tunde Racz, who you can contact through the Lanes Driving school. She has just the right balance between being chatty and making you feel comfortable while at the same time giving excellent, thorough and constructive feedback. She is also a mum with 2 kids so is very patient!
I would add my recommendations to the above for Nick's Driving Academy. I just passed after a long gap (20 years!) between learning. He is really encouraging and helped build my confidence and I learnt loads about how to drive in London. I ended up passing with only one minor fault -- mainly because I was so calm during the test. Highly recommended as instructor.

Another recommendation for Silvano Bozza. I just passed my driving test yesterday. Actually, it was a re-test after losing my license about 15 years ago. I have the concentration span of a goldfish and little spatial awareness, so I doubt I was the easiest to teach, but I only got four faults. That was largely due to Silvano's patience.

He's extremely calm and a lovely bloke, and I honestly feel I'm a better driver now than when I first passed, due to him.

Nick from Nicholas Driving Academy is a great experienced instructor. Very trustworthy and flexible re times and routes. It?s truly been a pleasure learning driving with him and I?ll miss our chats now that I?ve passed the test. A motorway driving lesson with him is also highly recommended.

    • Unfortunately not a great job. Work done in a rush and delivered late, issues not addressed and poor communication throughout.
    • Children below 10 are under the age of criminal responsibility and I believe that although it's not strictly legal, police rarely make a fuss about them cycling on the pavement - it's a good way for them to practice regularly. I feel terrified seeing little children wobbling along on the road and would always have rather risked getting into trouble than endangering my child . I once saw a really little child cycling on Lordship Lane with her father and felt so worried I said something - and he told me it was because of people were complaining. In this case it was a tiny child and you weren't injured and nothing was damaged so it seems a bit of an over-reaction. It doesn't seem to me that what the father said to you was particularly rude although if he wasn't supervising I agree that wasn't responsible.
    • yeah but its a better class of dog faeces
