Sue
Solid wood futon base - photo attached - now free, as I really do not need two futons in my spare bedroom!See measurements below. Please note - this is not the same futon base as I advertised before, which was taken some time ago. jackalors
Do you have dimensions for the futon please? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/83662-gone-wooden-futon-base/#findComment-928108 Share on other sites
Sue
It folds out into a normal double bed size. Which dimensions did you want? The reference to "small" in the pictures is to the size of the picture not the futon!(I had to reduce the size to be able to upload them on here). The mattress is now sold subject to collection. jackalors
Length and width dimensions of it when its folded up are most important for me, but folded out dimensions would be useful too. Thanks for quick reply. Sue
Unfortunately I can't fold it out by myself into a bed again. Well I probably could but I'd need to fold it up again as with the other futon now in the room it would take up most of the room! My other half isn't here at the moment to help with the folding!Length as a sofa (which would be the width when unfolded as a double bed) is 138cm.Height off the floor (as a sofa) is 71 cm (ie from floor to top of backrest).Height from floor to top of folding mechanism is 78cm.Height from floor to seating part is 20cm.Depth from front to the backrest part is 62cm measured to the bottom of the backrest (it slopes slightly back)Depth from front to the part which folds down the back behind the backrest part is 87cm. That would be the part resting upright against the wall if the sofa was placed against a wall.It is a normal length when used as a bed, is all I can say. I can't get the exact measurements without completely unfolding it, because parts of it overlap.
