Greendale Bird Walk and Work Day, Sunday 930am

Recommended Posts

Green Dale bird walk. Meet 9.30am Sunday November 22nd by the gap along Green Dale footpath.

Google map at

Green Dale is the green space behind Dulwich Hamlets Football Ground.

Guy Haslam will lead a leisurely bird walk around Green Dale, talking about the different species to be found and hopefully identifying a number of birds through their appearance and songs. Beginners and children more than welcome. Bring warm clothing, good footwear and rain gear in the case of inclement weather. Binoculars might be useful but are not essential.

The work day will follow straight after at 10.30am. We need volunteers to help with cutting and other basic Greendale maintenance works.

All in all a great day out in the environment, meeting your neighbours, without having to leave London!

    • Do you mean they are chopping branches from trees in your garden? I would definitely get advice on that eg from the neighbourhood police. I'm not familiar with the law, but that sounds like trespass to me, even if they are not actually standing in your garden. People are entitled to chop off branches etc which are overhanging their own garden, but I am pretty sure they are  not allowed to lean over and chop off anything in yours, whether they dislike it or not.
