I've just moved to the area (but have visited East Dulwich a lot over the last few years) and only now have I stumbled across this lovely place. I was surprised to find out that apparently it is over 20 years old. I didn't get a chance to stop for a meal but I thought the vibe of the place was amazing. I think it?s Caribbean food, has anyone eaten here?

It is indeed over 20 years old. I think it opened around 1992. It was just after I moved to ED. It used to have a number of interestingly decorated small rooms, and sold bread at the front, and very yummy chocolate coated coffee beans.

If the chef's the same as the one who was there just before they closed for refurbishment a while back, the food will be excellent. I had a fantastic meal there one evening. Pleased to hear they are opening in the evening again.

I agree. I miss it too :(

But that particular room was extremely small!

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
