The Lordship - fantastic party venue

Huge thanks to everyone at the Lordship for helping to making my birthday party such a success last week. Everyone was raving about the beautiful space, friendly staff and fantastic food. Andrew and Tom let us decorate with masses of fairy lights, play our own playlists through their music system and were generally friendly and helpful throughout.

Highly recommended as a party venue - thanks to everyone involved!

Have been a few times in the evening and despite very friendly bar staff the place lacked atmosphere

due to there being only 4-5 people there at 9.00pm Saturday night.

Have to a say have not been for a while and perhaps things have picked up but does not get much of a mention

generally on EDF.

Have to admit that looking at their website the food does look reasonably priced and I will pay it another

visit soon and may well sample their Sunday Menu or evening meal.

Note:-

It's strange in some way that eating a curry on your own (being single) is quite acceptable whilst sitting

down to a roast dinner or indeed most other restaurant types is not so.

One would not for example go to Platform One one ones own.

Does that make sense.. ?

We went to The Lordship for dinner on a Friday night a few weeks ago, and the food was delicious. Very reasonably priced, and it was busy with diners (was about 9pm) and drinkers. Planning to go back again soon, it's worth a visit for anyone that hasn't tried it.

To be fair Jay R is a + one, even when dining solo

Yes fair enough DF but my post was specifically about the Lordship's qualities as a party venue, and how brilliantly it lent itself to that function, in this case on a Tuesday night. Telling us about your solo experiences there on the odd quiet night isn't especially relevant. Cheers. H

    • We just had to have a fair bit of roofing done, along with new guttering and facia replacement (swapping out wooden for pvc) Also chimneys needed repointing & had problems with a large roof light. we didn’t know why we had damp in certain parts of the living room & turns out water was getting in via damaged chimneys. we ended up using vintage roofing and building ltd, & have to say they did a great job, scaffolding went up and work started straight away, they were pleasant & respectful of our property, & tidy. they showed us videos of the damage before starting work, & of the work after it was completed. And we have a 20 year guarantee. We live in a Victorian semi  happy to PM you how much it cost us

You can hear it all the way down the road and I can hear it when I’m at home and it’s starting to drive me a bit crazy, so would love to figure out what it is.    Anyone else noticed it?
