I've escalated this issue - assuming the North Cross Road one - to head of team that liaises with UK Power Networks. They do not have any street notices about any digging up of the road. But they've chased their contacts and I've contacted UK Power Networks directly myself asking when they'll fix it.

We are also on CPR and on a hat trick of power cuts. Running out of candles :(

Totally agree, does happen (even if before September 2015 we had only had 6 in 20 years) but three nights in a row needs sorting. Can anyone see any water board people working?

The September power cut was because of the north cross road water works

If it's any comfort, if you make it to 4 times in a year with 3-hour power cuts, you can claim ?75 in compensation. I did it a few years ago after a spate of them.

I've asked the chair person of the Dulwich Community council if we can invite UK Power Networks to attend our next meeting 2 December to explain what they are doing to fix the systemic failures. These numbers of repeat failures is unacceptable.

I'll let you know if my request is successful.

    • My point was in response to this:  "The idea that serving as a local councillor (including dealing with the public, internal party politics - which is always the most vicious where the stakes are lowest, and plenty of unpaid prep work) is a great pathway for careerists and moneygrabbers is utter shite. On a per hour basis you'd be far better off working at Sainsbos."   You could give up your job at sainsbury's and do a councillor's work and be very much better off. Most of these councillors earn this sort of money and still have full time jobs on the side.
    • No. The pool changing rooms are unaffected.   The gym changing rooms (aka dry side) are being refurbished.
    • Thanks for the link Dave. For clarity, the document shows that he receives the standard basic allowance all councillors get and a Senior Responsibility Allowance commensurate with the post he held. He claims no other allowance or any expenses as far as I can see... which makes me wonder what your point might be?
    • At Forrest Hill is there a wall at both ends? Looks like one end is steps on the website.
