Wanted: artist studio - office, warehouse, room, garage

I am an artist doing painting & site-specific art and currently looking for a new studio space.

I am thinking to rent either a room/office/garage as my own studio, or a big warehouse/office to covert as artist studios. If you have available space or ideas please contact me. Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

Best regards,

Heena

Hi Heena,

I am looking for someone to take the other half of my studio workshop at Axion House in Lewisham. The space is currently shared between me and a sculptor and half is now available.

The full size is 556sq ft or floorspace 6m x 9m, ceiling height 3m

So the available space is half of that at 278sq ft or 6m x 4.5m floorspace, ceiling height 3m

If you are looking for a slightly smaller and cheaper space, I am happy to be flexible on size down to 6m x 3m which would be ?250. Just get in touch.

I am happy to build a divider between the two areas.

Rent includes all utilities, electricity and bills (fast wifi available for ?5 per month extra).

The studio workshop is on the ground floor with double doors for easy loading. The building entrance is very secure and has a loading bay and lots of trolleys for easy moving. There is free secure parking and also soon to be an on-site cafe. The studio workshop also doesn't get very cold even on those really crisp days.

I am a stained glass artist. I very occasionally uses power tools and have a ceramics/glass kiln. You're welcome to use the tools or kiln. Tool noise isn't an issue in the building.

The studio is really close to Lewisham station and run by a well organised company called V22 collections.

The space is available from 30th November.

I'm pretty flexible and should be free at some point to show you round most days or evenings. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

I look forward to meeting you.

Matthew

    • I'd try the Dulwich Village or "North Dulwich Triangle" forums for more local knowledge but I don't think those areas compare to Abeville Road at all. It will be quite a different lifestyle.
    • Yes, Dulwich Village commands a premium and justifiably so given access to the City via London Bridge plus the top rate schools within walking distance.  The bus services are really good also - 37, 42 and P4. The P4 is useful for connecting to the Victoria line at Brixton. It's worthwhile waiting for the right property. I know of one which will be coming on the market in a few weeks - 4 bedrooms and south facing garden circa £2.5m.
    • This is an utterly foolish and alarmist statement, completely at odds with reality.
    • I realise this is highly unlikely, but if anyone has a colour laser printer in very good working order, I'd be delighted to take it off your hands!
