Peckhamgatecrasher
Heard it too - I'd put it at 3.48 and 30 seconds! Either an extremely loud backfire or small explosion/v. loud gun report. philiphenslowe
My cat was shot Monday lunchtime (about 1.30pm) somewhere around Henslowe/Barry Road. He's currently being operated on as the pellet is lodged in his liver. It was reported to the police who were very helpful.I'm absolutely furious that there are idiots shooting air guns at all and sundry! :o( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8577-shot-through-kitchen-window/page/2/#findComment-268236 Share on other sites

thexwinglessxbird
How is shooting into peoples windows the slightest bit amusing? They're obviously old enough to handle a gun, so they must be seriously fucked up. Hope these bastards get the chance to taste their own medicine before they get caught.Poor cat... I had a cat that got seriously shot (as yours has been, philiphenslowe). It turned out to be our next door neighbour. Our cat did make a full recovery =) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8577-shot-through-kitchen-window/page/2/#findComment-274046 Share on other sites

thexwinglessxbird
If huncamunca was trying to be insulting (wouldn't be suprised - always the same people on this forum) then I don't see the motive behind this. Alex K
Amazing what we sort through and understand, because we know what was MEANT."Poor cat... I had a cat that got seriously shot (as yours has been, philiphenslowe). It turned out to be our next door neighbour" writes A, B enquires "Can I ask what prompted your neighbour to decide to shoot the cat?"And yet syntactically it is the CAT which turned out to be the next door neighbour.--Working as a translator makes you ask all the time -- Could the author REALLY have meant THAT? And then, shaking your head, saying -- No, impossible. This MUST be what was intended...Gin and tonic: Wellspring of all psycholinguistic analysis. huncamunca
I wasnt , but unless it was a spotty teen with an air rifle, then I would like to hear more - its a pretty serious act shooting someones petthis however would open up the cats : good or bad, endless discussion, and that is maybe a pointless exercise Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8577-shot-through-kitchen-window/page/2/#findComment-274469 Share on other sites
