  14. Any recommendations appreciated. Blackberry Wood is always always booked up and generally any others that are listed in the top 10 Times/Telegraph best camp sites. Would like a family site not more that a couple of hours from London. Thanks Steph
  15. Rosaleigh (Rosa), Stevie, Elsie, Maggy, Leigh.....we decided on Alexa for our little girl, think she will get Lexi. Most names are shortened so that's defo worth thinking about. Elouise is beautiful but will probs end up Lou or Ella. You could spend many hours on the day looking for the right one. Good luck!
  16. Not to worry. I did ring them and he was found. Useless post, sorry!
  17. Was up Peckham Rye this afternoon, 3 ish with the kids. Lots of police and a police helicopter searching the place. I asked one of the policeman what was going on and she said a 5 year old boy from Barry Road had gone missing from his house. Apparently his mother had left him home alone and he had managed to get out and wander off. Does anyone know if he was found? I'm guessing he was as it would probably be big on the news by now but need to know really. Is calling the police to find out an option? Thanks Steph
  18. We were offered Hollydale...It wasnt on our list at all but we would consider it as we may move to Nunhead. Can anyone tell me their opinion of it please? Thanks Steph
  19. It is lovely. My little boy is there and he loves it. The few hours a day are just like going to a play group every day and the teachers are super.
  20. Thanks everyone! I showed all of your responses to Maureen today and she was over the moon! Fingers crossed it comes to something x
  21. Hi Everyone I was chatting to Maureen yesterday (The Manager at Peckham Rye 1 O'clock club) and she was saying how the 1oclock club needs all the support it can get in order for them not to close down. One of the things that would help is if they can form a descent committee made up of the parents who visit the club. Being part of the committee would involve nothing other than the odd meeting (4 times a year) to discuss improvements, needs etc.. She said if they get enough support, obviously not just based on this, then that club alone might be kept open. Probably not the others though which is really sad. So please can you join the committee? You just need to email your name and address to [email protected] and maybe Cc Maureen in so she is aware of the responses [email protected] - you can also ask Maureen for more info on it if you want as I know I have been a bit vague. Honestly its hardly any commitment at all given the lifeline the 1oclock club gives to parents. Cheers Steph
