I'd like to invite the responsible, active citizens lounging in the drawing room to sign up for our NHS Southwark health involvement updates. We have a postal newsletter we send out quarterly, but we also send out regular (usually weekly)email updates to let people know about events & consultations that may be of interest.

For example at the moment there is a consultation running about drug & alcohol services in Southwark, an event planned in Dulwich Park for families with disabled children, the Mayor's health inequalities strategy and a new consultation on patient rights in the NHS constitution.

To sign up all you need to do is contact us on [email protected] (unless you want to sign up for postal newsletter we don't need any other contact details) - we can send you more info about our updates, or you can read more on www.southwarkpct.nhs.uk/get_involved

You can also follow us on www.twitter.com/NHSSouthwarkppi

Any questions, comments, suggestions - please do get in touch.

Thanks,

Keri Lewis

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️
    • https://www.stanthonysprimary.co.uk/parents/admissions/admissions-1 Both my children went to St Anthony's and I feel it is a wonderful school... very inclusive of all faiths (they learn about all religions even though it's a Catholic school) and nurturing with great pastoral care and teaching. it's a real community of families and school staff and I was very sad when my youngest left for secondary this year.
    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
