Seabag
I've seen the future, well eaten it anywayI like Chocolate Brownies I like Mince PiesI now like Mince Brownies They look and taste just like a regular brownie, but the 'mince' bit hits you at the end. Very nice indeed and i'll probably be sick of them by the end of Xmas.I've also eaten sprouts, prepared in a very pleasing manner. All the big leaves pulled off and steamed, then mixed in with little chunks of thick bacon, bacon fat and chopped chestnuts. Now they were very delicious and they'll be appearing at our Xmas lunch, as will roasted white sweet potatoesAnd quince jelly Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/87686-variations-on-a-theme/ Share on other sites

I do cook roasts on occasion... Roast beef last Sunday, roast spuds, roast carrots home made yorkies.. Home made gravy..That's about it.. Christmas Day .. Home Alone.. not sure if I can be bothered doing all that for one.. Not allowed Christmas Pudding, Mince Pies, Custard, Chocolates, Dates, Sweets.. So a small Oloroso at lunchtime and a couple of bottles of beer in the evening , perhaps a sneaky Drambuie..Few Twigglets.. Some nuts... Boxing Day.. off to see Millwall get stuffed... Foxy..P.S. Can't even eat Humbugs.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/87686-variations-on-a-theme/#findComment-940913 Share on other sites
Louisa
I like my veg steamed or roasted, unless it's bubble then it can be fried. I don't mind sprouts with poultry but I find them a little bland if over done. I personally would roast up some parsnips and carrots in honey and serve them with a nice homemade cranberry sauce. What does everyone think of yorkshires with a Crimbo lunch? Yay or nay?Louisa.
