Structural engineer (or surveryor?) recommendation needed

I would like a structural engineer (or maybe just a surveyor?) to come and inspect my house following the completion of some recent building work. I have noticed a few cracks appear and want to know if they have been caused by the building work or are unrelated. I want either peace of mind or advice on next steps if there is a problem. I don't know if I need a surveyor or a structural engineer. Can anyone advise on this and have any recommendations? Also does anyone have any idea how much (ballpark) this kind of review would cost? Thanks!

    • Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍
    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
