Hi,

I wondered if anyone could offer some advice. Im 6 months pregnant and currently suffering from severe lower back pain. This is the third day in a row that its been so bad that I can't walk or sit down comfortably, the only relief is when lying down in bed but not sure that this is going to help long term or make it worse.

I've tried various stretches, baths, hot water bottles and going to try and get to the doctors tomorrow but if anyone could recommend anything, or perhaps if anyone knows of a chiropractor that might be able to help that would be fantastic!

Thanks :)

I went to see a brilliant physio at Dulwich Medical Centre during my second pregnancy. He sorted out my pain in just a couple of sessions. I also saw him after my pregnancy to help with long standing knee pain.

Hi,

I posted on a very similar subject a couple of months ago (and got some good recommendations if you search for it). My back is so much better after seeing Emma at ehphysio.com (on lordship lane) for two rather bruising massage and stretching sessions as well as doing some pregnancy Pilates with jelly bellies. I can actually walk again which is a relief with a two year old.

Good luck

N

Great, thank you so much for all your help and advice, luckily my backs starting to ease up a bit today and was able to get an appointment at Dulwich Physio this morning which has really helped!!

The first blip in what has so far been an easy pregnancy! Just hoping it doesn't flare up again.

    • According to this site, Giff Gaff is your best bet.  You only need to make a quick 25p call every 180 days to keep the sim active.  Diarise right and that's about 50p a year.   https://kenstechtips.com/index.php/best-payg-sim-for-low-usage
    • I think that's about it.  I know 1pmobile.com do £10 for 60days, or £48/yr, both of which include substantial usage if you need it. PS just checked.  £5 in it too for each of us if you want a referral.
    • Oh. I've been looking into this (online) and it seems I would still have to pay something (at least a fiver)  every month even if I wasn't using the phone, because they all seem to be 30 day rolling contracts. Have I misunderstood? I need something for emergency use only.
