  1. FYI - any issues I've had with products (random stuff at times but sunglasses packaging meaning you can't try it on, a product shrinking while going up in price and a meal deal not scanning properly) I've messaged them in FB Messenger and they've always responded and usually given Nectar points for the inconvenience. Might be worth trying for complaints too?
  2. I hope she is ok, we walked by much later and 5 police there. Shame things weren't prevented as there had been warnings of issues expected in that area and all the Charter kids were let out a different exit to normal yet something still happened!
  3. Sorry to hear, glad it worked out, thanks for the heads up. These guys sound similar to the ones on Greendale and surrounds who jump out at or lash out at cyclists - which of course could cause injury all round.
  4. I was excited to hear it was arriving but then looked on the menu online at other branches, saw the £7 and thought unfortunately I wouldn't be going! Same as you expect a certain price from previous experiences (Boost etc) but £7 is too much
  5. I believe the Melbourne Grove side didn't go ahead as planned. PW (Peckham West) is in play so Ondine, Copleston etc are 9-11am buy a ticket unless you have a permit
  6. I live right by this and had to watch the video so many times and see the comments on it to realise the image is reversed as it's from the cab of the lorry looking behind. The bus was approaching from the traffic lights near Ondine Rd/Copleston Rd. The lorry parked opposite Gibbs and Dandy as they often are - that is why it hit the non-drive side and the doors side (as can be seen in the aftermath photos). You can also see the direction of travel was Gibbs and Dandy then Kwik Fit but my is it confusing! The bus therefore was actually (just) within the white lines on the correct side of the road but obviously should have actually been further over to clear the lorry. Strangely when I heard what had happened I said I wonder if it clipped the truck (trucks often wait there til space free in Gibbs and Dandy). For me the worrying bit is the apparent speed as the Elsie Road bus stop was really close by just after lorry and you can see that in the clip with the firepeople. I heard someone went to hospital - I hope all are ok. Scary stuff and seems a miracle there was no one on the pavement.
  7. I saw him walking down Pytchley Road a few months ago with a film crew so ED might get featured!
  8. North Dulwich Pot and Plant garden centre by North Dulwich train station have them
  9. I guess I've been fairly lucky. I did leave it late one morning, told I was position 50 so gave up. Next day I tried calling from 7.58, hang up/redial etc until it opens and was position 10, annoyingly it didn't count down my position like it used to so I just held on. Got through after 10-15 mins, Dr called back just over an hour later, prescription issued and got a 5pm appointment for a specific manoeuvre that not all doctors can do - so I was actually pretty impressed. A previous time 4 weeks ago also got through, prompt call back and prescription sent (as it was a recurring thing so they didn't need to see me).
  10. FYI regarding defibrillators - I have seen there is one by East Dulwich station so that people are aware
  11. I'm after the kids nasal spray one for my son. Last year he was ill the next day and missed a day of school so this year I'm trying to get him given it on a Friday afternoon or a Saturday - DMC not very helpful yet and I don't want to keep calling every so often for an update as it takes an age. Anyone know if you can "walk in" for the kids one anywhere on a Fri or Sat? Thanks
  12. Hi, has anyone managed to book a permit to use the Devon St Recycling Centre off the Old Kent Road? I cannot get it to accept our Southwark postcode (then tried random ones, none work). Has anyone managed to get one? I called but of course no one there on a weekend. Assuming the search bit is broken as then clicked to report our postcode not working and that bit won't find us either! Thanks!
  13. I'm very close to Goose Green petrol station and just googled and sadly see it's 24hr. We have had hooting all day and entry to my road frequently blocked by a queue that barely moves. Don't think I'll get much sleep tonight as hooting still going now gone 10.30pm!!! Sad to think of emergency vehicles not being able to fill up. What are the media going to post next to cause the next panic issue.....
  14. The email is genuine, I contacted Southwark to check as it didn't initially feel "right" to me - they need to work on their wording, felt like phishing email to me.
  15. Love Gather and Tash is lovely - please support!
  16. I had assumed residents were allowed? Absolutely crazy and impossible if not??
  17. Fish foot.... I got my email reminder 1st March from "Southwark Parking" Re the ticket, my neighbour has limited English so I emailed on her behalf and copied in James McAsh who had been supporting residents efforts re the 2 months paid for but not enforced. The next day my neighbour spoke to parking on the phone and she thinks they cancelled the fine and they definitely extended last year's permit til June. Get emailing and phoning and good luck
  18. I managed to get them to move the start date of mine from end March 2020 to end May 2020 so I don't need to renew now until then. A neighbour just got a ticket which we have cleared up as they hadn't got a letter that their permit was about to run out (and as some of the road have managed to extend from June only fair that they can too). Thanks James for being on the emails too. So if you need to raise it - please do - plenty of people have managed to get the extra 2 months and I just wish they would apply it to everyone and not those who can be bothered to ask.
  19. Another recommendation for Carl. He managed to fit us in quickly to fix fencing damaged by the recent wind and storms. Friendly, efficient, helpful and kept me updated throughout. Our fence is now looking fab again.
  20. I can only comment on the driving but as others have said - driving within Dulwich at the moment is awful! I really cannot believe you could do that drive in 20 mins? I drive once a week to drop my kids to school (as I do our weekly supermarket shop on the way back) from one side of Dulwich to the other. Takes 10-12 mins depending on traffic. There are lots of shut roads meaning the main roads are chokka. I would also now never drive the way I used to which was past Jags. I now go the opposite direction via Denmark Hill Station. It was hit-and-miss anyway going the Jags way in the past (and that was before they closed lots of roads feeding East Dulwich Grove). It is even worse now. I think you need to try a few practice runs before you commit. Another parent works in Streatham and drives back to home in Dulwich and occasionally gets stuck and I have to pick up their child for them. I think you're lining up a daily stressful challenge.
  21. Peckham West CPZ was due to start March 31st 2020. It was delayed due to you-know-what until somewhere around 26th May-2nd June 2020 when it began to be enforced for the first time. I've now been contacted re the renewal for end March 2021. I wasn't impressed to have no consideration regarding the 2 months (Apr/May) paid for when it wasn't enforced in 2020. I have called them and spoke to a very understanding guy who was going to talk to someone else (I need to follow up as it's been a week). I just wanted to find out what anyone else thought or was doing? I know that in our road there are a few of us raising this individually. There are also others in our road who didn't buy their permit until June last year (backing up the point they weren't actually needed until then). Just thought I'd throw it out there to the rest of the zone... Thanks
  22. Hi, Does anyone know what the old betting shop is going to be that is opposite M&S Food at East Dul station? I've not managed to find any info and it's looking interesting. Thanks!
