Last offered distances for primary schools 2016
Ginster replied to Fjgb's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks guys. I know last year the 3 classes didn't fill up, so not sure how this year will be (for 2017) Is there ever a way to find out how many siblings there are for the next year? -
Last offered distances for primary schools 2016
Ginster replied to Fjgb's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, is there any way to find out furthest distances from those that say "all offered" please? Interested in Bessemer information. Thanks! -
Lost today, BaaBaa is somewhere in ED, Goose Green or Peckham Rye park! Medium size, 18cm, see link for picture. Let me know if you've seen him! (May have "Leo" written on label just can't remember if I had written it or not!) http://www.jellyexpress.co.uk/bashfuls/BASS6L.html?kw=&fl=1000&ci=46070500734&network=pla&gclid=CMiy7-_AnNACFVU_GwodEh0MdQ Thanks!

following this as have similar question
-
My daughter goes there and yes they keep the work - as once she insisted we take it ALL home! Page upon page (at least 20-30 pieces) of "artwork" - so definitely ask. I have also had stuff pointed out to me on the wall by both my child and the staff. The videos I've seen have often had people "out of the circle" and knowing some 2-3 year olds I'm sure that's how they want it. My child is very happy and social but as soon as you have an activity like that she goes into a quiet almost zombie-like staring mode. Not that she's not happy or interested, almost too interested and just staring and taking it all in. I guess you know your child the best - so if he needs them to bring them onto their lap then definitely just ask/request. There will be a parents evening at some point to also discuss - but why not grab a few words one morning or evening? I always managed to have a quick chat about their day. Good luck.

Swimming lessons - recommendations please for 3 yr old

Thanks all!! -
We debated long on this - we have 2 kids so tried a double but it was too wide for doors in our house so it went back. Decided on 2 single "holiday" buggies as once older child walking more we'll only need one buggy. Got 2 of these when on offer, they're not too heavy compared to others: http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-kato-buggy-pinkpurple/1089j9500/type-i/?cm_mmc=Shopping-_-Google%2520Product%2520Search-_-Kato%B2%2520Buggy%2520-%2520Pink%252FPurple-_-1089J9500&gclid=CJylze_q3s4CFYu6GwodsXkLpQ&locale=1&bll=1 The one thing I'd highly recommend you get is one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/I-Safe-Cosatto-Universal-Stroller-Parasol/dp/B00DI7JN2S/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472206252&sr=8-1&keywords=isafe+buggy+shade As a muslin doesn't really work that well (and often hangs down on child's face/tickles arms etc). I am so glad we got this so baby is protected from the sun on holiday. It's lightweight and folds down small.

Nursery advice - Piplings or Le Nid
Ginster replied to Kitkat80's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Very happy with Le Nid for my 3 year old and the younger one will be going there too in a few months. They sit together to eat, are outside a lot, have visitors doing things like dancing/singing and languages and the staff are lovely (and my daughter loves it and talks about it even when not there). I did like Piplings but thought it was very expensive and then the days they offered me didn't match with what I needed so we went with a childminder until I wanted to move her to a nursery in a lead up to going to school. If you search on the Forum you can also find previous posts about Piplings to help your decision. -
Loads of things in Tiger shops. Nearest are Bromley, Croydon and the Wharf.

I saw that too - they were putting lots of plants/greenery into the cafe area as I walked past - interested to know what they're filming!

Rye Cars. Note though, 3am, dark, trying to get a 2yr old and 6 month old out of bed into taxi with minimal fuss was delayed a bit as the car seats hadn't been fitted and driver didn't know how. We have Isofix so I've not much experience fitting seats with car seatbelts but did best I could. Next time will speak to person when booking to find out the set up!

Hi, not used her myself but saw her in action at the West Dulwich Fair recently and she was really great with the kids and did a good range. My daughter happily watched for 20mins and we got a fab ladybird balloon bracelet. https://www.eventsense.co.uk/member/ine-dries-balloon-artist-and-childrens-entertainer-magician

Called 15 mins ago and got 12pm tomorrow. As it's the 3rd estimate who knows! That link above doesn't work for me (and the irony of a website to check broadband anyway...? ;)
-
Yep same story here (another on Ondine). Yesterday it was to be fixed by 8pm. Today it was 5.05pm which as said above has long passed. How we supposed to believe the next estimate? Called for some money back this morning. Calling 150 is free so not sure why you say it costs AliK212?

We did a "sleep all night in your own bed" chart. Tick for each day. Small present after 5 nights, big one after 10. Worked well. Now we've moved on to a GroClock ready for the move from cot to bed and that has a lot of interest. Still sometimes get called in when it's "night" but we either don't go in or go and explain it's still night (as it's still quite new). We didn't have it as bad as you but I'm sure you feel anything is worth a try! Friends I know still have to hold their older child's hands to get them to sleep so I always try to be really conscious of all we do, are we setting a precedent, can I see is always doing this etc Hope you're all sleeping again soon!

Hi all, I know it's not ED but it's not far from here and you never know someone a Forumite might know could have found it. Lost - dark purple "Fossil" purse. Last seen in Argos in Brixton. Either I dropped it in there or on the street between there and H&M (or someone lifted it of course) as that is when I realised I didn't have it. Hoping Argos still have it and just aren't very organised (as I of course did go back there) but just incase am trying anything! Thanks!

Has he been checked by a dentist too? Hope you get to the source of it.

Is it true? cafe trio to close forever this Sunday
Ginster replied to MirandaS's topic in The Lounge
They've been open a year now. At least the choc shop is just moving round corner onto Maxted Rd. Wouldn't be surprised if it's rent ;(
