  1. I also thought it was awful and not an improvement. Won't be bothering again. Area for small kids way too small and even more so compared to the space they had before. Whole thing seemed smaller in size, how come they didn't just re vamp the existing space? Love Albrighton but only a few sessions a week.
  2. Queue is all the way back up L Lane! As far as Lordship pub. If anyone knows how to get hold of James Barber or someone? (I've just emailed him) Bus driver says it's temp lights on Grove Vale.
  3. We stayed here last Easter "Macdonald Elmers Court Hotel & Resort" in Lymington - so you have the New Forest all around. Day trip to Longdown Activity Farm which was great. Room was big enough for 2 travel cots (our kids were nearly 3 and nearly 1) and they had been set up for us (and thankfully quite long cots so the nearly 3 year old still fit!) Food had 2 options I think, one was a bit hit and miss but think that was a staffing issue so hopefully sorted. It had a pool (not amazing but good enough) and nice grounds. You could walk to town (but it was a long walk) or drive. Other option is Marwell Hotel - next to Marwell Zoo. You can get Zoo tickets included in the package and we then went to Peppa Pig World the next day (30 mins drive or so). Hotel bit old looking but great restaurant and food (and kid friendly) and swimming pool (bit dated and small but ok). Room was small but there may be bigger options. Great having the Zoo right outside!
  4. If you put cctv in your car aren't you then giving them (or someone else) something to steal? Only other thing to note - and unlikely really as it's outside your house but there has been press about people putting things on your wipers or wrapping things round them to make you delay getting into your car to rob you (extreme I know!) but sharing just in case!
  5. Just to throw my bit in... - from an earlier comment (sorry if already answered, didn't read all 3 pages) but you can organise a re-delivery without the item number - we've done it lots recently and it's really simple online (only had 1 number left in the last 8 times I'd guess). It helps we have someone at home at least once a week and I know many don't have that unforch. - we're SE15 postcode so our parcels have always gone to Highshore Rd - though I'm about a 3 minute walk from the EDT pub so we're right on the ED border - it's not too bad to walk and if it's a big parcel you can get the P13, 37, 12, 197, 363 or 63 buses to quite a bit of ED? - decent opening hours on a Saturday (just obviously quite busy, hopefully they'll increase staff?)
  6. One school we visited said to use a site called Daft Logic
  7. Few points from me... - London Bridge changeover was busy before all the work. I haven't done this since the Overground started unless cancellations gave me no choice and then it was busy busy. - as I don't go via L Bridge I previously got a zone 2-3 travelcard (just remem to touch the pink reader at C Water each journey.) - mostly I get bus to Denmark Hill and hop on there (it's emptier as lots of hospital staff/visitors get off.) P Rye can be a squeeze - if buses are a nightmare and Southern trains are actually running I'll get a train from ED to P Rye and get on the Overground there (same platform). It's actually cheaper for me to do this than bus to/from D Hill but of course can't be relied upon at the moment. On my way home I will always check my app to see if a P Rye train has actually left LBridge else I will have to stay on to D Hill and get the bus (nightly rush to pick up kids in time) - boat can be useful if all other transport is down on the Wharf - I have done the train to Lewisham from PR and DLR and yes you get a seat. I found you can't rely on the trains, often late. Used to get this if issue with other options so just changed platform. - I suspect you're moving into our building in the Wharf! Enjoy the shops and restaurants!
  8. Definitely a sling and be warned when they're little like that they can sometimes poo for England on planes!! Good luck you'll be fine.
  9. Tumble at Albrighton Centre ?2 each on Tuesdays and Thurs (check website before walking up that hill and finding it's off for a week!!) Peckham Pulse Beckenham Spa as above The Triangle Barnados place behind Crystal Palace Sainsbury's (free car parking, entrance just before (and opposite) garden centre Jelly Tots cafe in Herne Hill
  10. Thanks guys. I know last year the 3 classes didn't fill up, so not sure how this year will be (for 2017) Is there ever a way to find out how many siblings there are for the next year?
  11. Hi, is there any way to find out furthest distances from those that say "all offered" please? Interested in Bessemer information. Thanks!
  12. Lost today, BaaBaa is somewhere in ED, Goose Green or Peckham Rye park! Medium size, 18cm, see link for picture. Let me know if you've seen him! (May have "Leo" written on label just can't remember if I had written it or not!) http://www.jellyexpress.co.uk/bashfuls/BASS6L.html?kw=&fl=1000&ci=46070500734&network=pla&gclid=CMiy7-_AnNACFVU_GwodEh0MdQ Thanks!
  13. following this as have similar question
  14. My daughter goes there and yes they keep the work - as once she insisted we take it ALL home! Page upon page (at least 20-30 pieces) of "artwork" - so definitely ask. I have also had stuff pointed out to me on the wall by both my child and the staff. The videos I've seen have often had people "out of the circle" and knowing some 2-3 year olds I'm sure that's how they want it. My child is very happy and social but as soon as you have an activity like that she goes into a quiet almost zombie-like staring mode. Not that she's not happy or interested, almost too interested and just staring and taking it all in. I guess you know your child the best - so if he needs them to bring them onto their lap then definitely just ask/request. There will be a parents evening at some point to also discuss - but why not grab a few words one morning or evening? I always managed to have a quick chat about their day. Good luck.
  15. We debated long on this - we have 2 kids so tried a double but it was too wide for doors in our house so it went back. Decided on 2 single "holiday" buggies as once older child walking more we'll only need one buggy. Got 2 of these when on offer, they're not too heavy compared to others: http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-kato-buggy-pinkpurple/1089j9500/type-i/?cm_mmc=Shopping-_-Google%2520Product%2520Search-_-Kato%B2%2520Buggy%2520-%2520Pink%252FPurple-_-1089J9500&gclid=CJylze_q3s4CFYu6GwodsXkLpQ&locale=1&bll=1 The one thing I'd highly recommend you get is one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/I-Safe-Cosatto-Universal-Stroller-Parasol/dp/B00DI7JN2S/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472206252&sr=8-1&keywords=isafe+buggy+shade As a muslin doesn't really work that well (and often hangs down on child's face/tickles arms etc). I am so glad we got this so baby is protected from the sun on holiday. It's lightweight and folds down small.
  16. Where do you recommend locally? At the age of 3 are the kids in on their own with the teacher or does the parent have to join them? Daughter is happy and fairly confident in the water, "swimming" on her own with armbands - so want to progress to actually learning to swim properly. Thanks!
  17. Very happy with Le Nid for my 3 year old and the younger one will be going there too in a few months. They sit together to eat, are outside a lot, have visitors doing things like dancing/singing and languages and the staff are lovely (and my daughter loves it and talks about it even when not there). I did like Piplings but thought it was very expensive and then the days they offered me didn't match with what I needed so we went with a childminder until I wanted to move her to a nursery in a lead up to going to school. If you search on the Forum you can also find previous posts about Piplings to help your decision.
  18. Loads of things in Tiger shops. Nearest are Bromley, Croydon and the Wharf.
  19. I saw that too - they were putting lots of plants/greenery into the cafe area as I walked past - interested to know what they're filming!
  20. Rye Cars. Note though, 3am, dark, trying to get a 2yr old and 6 month old out of bed into taxi with minimal fuss was delayed a bit as the car seats hadn't been fitted and driver didn't know how. We have Isofix so I've not much experience fitting seats with car seatbelts but did best I could. Next time will speak to person when booking to find out the set up!
  21. Hi, not used her myself but saw her in action at the West Dulwich Fair recently and she was really great with the kids and did a good range. My daughter happily watched for 20mins and we got a fab ladybird balloon bracelet. https://www.eventsense.co.uk/member/ine-dries-balloon-artist-and-childrens-entertainer-magician
  22. Called 15 mins ago and got 12pm tomorrow. As it's the 3rd estimate who knows! That link above doesn't work for me (and the irony of a website to check broadband anyway...? ;)
