  1. Good here too. Guess we'll need to check back in here Monday re weather? As we might all have diff ideas of what constitutes bad weather? ;)
  2. 7pm onwards. See you there, sorry to hear you're not well Sayroo!
  3. Hi all, Looking forward to tomorrow - it has crept up on me, thankfully you posted Sarah and I saw it on Sunday which reminded me to remind hubby he's on the hook for tomorrow night! fknox1, Khind, farrago and any other newcomers = welcome, of course please come along tomorrow, no restriction on numbers, think we had 26 people last time! Just need to make sure we move around a bit more so we can meet more people. Helen2110 - welcome - and if you haven't already - you should also find the Winter Babies thread which will cover Dec/Jan/Feb babies - you will probably find all of those members will be on mat leave already and most will have had their babies/will have them very soon! Good luck! Ginny
  4. Same on Ondine Road
  5. Sorry to hear all this and thanks as others have said for sharing to make others aware and very glad you are all ok. I used East Dulwich station on Friday 6th at 7.30pm and saw 5 police officers there - asked them if there was a reason for the presence and was handed a leaflet with the information posted by James Barber above. I can't believe that it seems like the attacks were happening about the same time not far away!? Hope there is some CCTV of the perp and with all this awareness with luck he'll be caught very soon. I'll certainly be more aware of my surroundings and keep a lookout. I hope the police will keep patrolling the area too.
  6. Between Ondine Road and the petrol station by the bus stop. Either needs a small tree or filling in as not ideal place by bus stop to have a hole!
  7. Hi all, Just to let you know I've booked the same area in the EDT for 7pm on the 18th. (Back right near the ladies). See you there! Ginny
  8. Hi mooncake, don't know if I'm missing something but I can't find that on FB. Can you confirm wording pls and is it a "group" or "page"? Thx
  9. Hi, That works for me as I work Tues-Thurs. Thanks for kicking this off. Ginny
  10. Same here re 2nd timers, would be really good with kid #1 in tow. Sounds like the 18th is a goer so I'll book that again - assume same tables/area ok? and we'll just make sure we move around more!
  11. Mattress toppers can help if you fork out for a decent one. John Lewis do some good ones.
  12. 18th works for me. Was everyone up for the EDT again? Or any other suggestions? It was a great turnout and great to meet those I talked to. So many ladies we couldn't get around everyone! Hoping to catch up with those I missed talking to next time, it's like speed dating with bumps ;)
  13. Everyone welcome! I've got a stinking cold at the moment so may just pop in and out (and keep my distance) so as to not share it!!
  14. Hi, Mine will be babysitting so no. Perhaps a future meetup on a weekend? Ginny
  15. Hi all, No limit on spaces, just wanting to give the pub an idea of numbers. If we get a few more I'll up our number slightly but I think we'll be fine at the moment! Looking forward to meeting everyone! Ginny
  16. Hi ladies, Right I just spoke to a lovely chap at the EDT and I've booked an area for 7pm on Weds 21st Jan under the name of Ginny (sounds like they'll cordon off a decent size space for us). I suggested at the back to the right (near the ladies(!)) as I think that has enough space. In the past the other areas we had weren't very conducive for everyone to chat other than to those either side of them or if you moved around. I did warn him we're all expecting so not much drinking will be going on - though if it's anything like last time hopefully a few of us will eat dinner there (I plan to) so they get some money out of us and we get some food if you haven't managed an earlier dinner. I did a quick count back (apols if I missed anyone or mis-typed a name) and of course we might have more (or less) on the day so I've booked for 20 people for now. These are the names I have, obviously those finding this thread after today are more than welcome to join too, just let us know as if it gets many more I feel I should warn them ;o) Mandy Sayroo jcrwillcox mrs-blue-squirrel kaz@263 missjojo Dandy Sandy balanceforlife Hannahkc Jwinter smann lucycheyne roaa staspah jacindac geormil73 ehammond charcoal gemgem me! 17. I'm on a 63 headed along the Rye to PR station. Just been diverted left via LL roundabout to go via Denmark Hill and Camberwell and back to Peckham so be aware!
  18. Hi, We'd just about decided to go for the P&T Dot (v2) when I read some different reviews saying when newborn gets too big for the lie flat (toddler is on top seat) people felt they couldn't use buggy til baby was older/bigger as they didn't want to put them in the bottom seat. I feel there must be ways round this so wanted to find out any opinions or recommendations for this buggy for toddler+baby? Which combinations work best for you (regarding top seat/bottom seat and who sits where?) Toddler will be 22 months when baby arrives. Not yet walking so will still need time in buggy. Thanks!
  19. Looks like we're getting a good group together for meeting up! I've got a reminder next week to book the EDT for the 21st so will do a rough head count then. We can do other meetups after (evenings or maybe one at weekend) so that everyone can make it to at least one. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
  20. We had ours done with Classic Lofts. They put a thinner floor in (rather than lowering floors/ceiling below and affecting room height below) Height now is about 2.1m. Before there was a partial loft conversion with roof height about 5ft9 (hubby could only stand up in middle but his head was touching the tallest part of roof where roof pointed. So it could be possible to get more height out of yours too?
  21. Works for me too. Will see how many takers we get then try to book an area if the EDT works for people and the EDT are still happy to accommodate a load of ladies with bumps ;))
  22. Wow thanks Mustard, so understanding(!) Moving a large wheelie bin (even an empty one) one handed while holding on to a heavy baby with little room to manoeuvre is no mean feat! Clearly if it was easy I wouldn't have bothered posting in the first place! And if you read my post correctly I was commenting about other people in general who might have mobility issues or not be very strong having a problem. Clearly if I had an elderly neighbour with this problem I'd help them when I could. Not sure your post added anything. No wonder so many posts on the EDF descend into arguments!
  23. I have also contacted the council about this as ours is left on our path nearly every week and I get home carrying a baby and have to try to move bin with my foot or squeeze past (neither easy) and I can't put baby down as she's not walking yet. Council replied and said message has been passed on so we'll see. I'm actually home today so may get to see them in action so could speak to them if it's done again. I pointed out in my email that there are other people out there who wouldn't be able to move their bin at all so some consideration is needed. A couple of inches to the side and the path is clear. I don't think I expected them to be put back exactly where taken from but if they wanted to it's obvious as there is always one bin type not collected each week so you can see where they all "live". We're in Ondine Road.
  24. Hey all, Lucy that's me entirely! I look 6 months gone every evening! Crazy isn't it. Kaz, January is a great idea re meet up. We can see nearer the time where might work but to throw it out there the EDT was great hosting a load of ladies and bumps last year and they don't charge for soda and lime! Ginny
  25. Could try The Florence in HH? Get their "Mums The Word" discount card (25% off food on weekdays, valid in that chain so include The Bishop, Victoria Inn etc) They have a kids play area with changing room. Kid friendly during day. Not sure if had kids menu or not (but probably as the others do). Bit of manoevering to get buggy to the back but we used to do it every week. If walking to ED the The Bishop has a changing room and highchairs and kids menu (poss squeeze to get buggy in changing room?) Peckham Rye Park Cafe.
