If u need a DJ we have been to a couple of parties by Trev the DJ which were great! He does discos for kids (and/or grown ups) at the venue of your choice, whether it be at home or in a hall. We went to one in St Hildas Church, u could try there. From the info I have seen a typical 2 hour children?s disco includes PA system, lights, music, games and prizes. Contact details are mobile 07912207014, email [email protected] or have a look at his facebook page trevthedj or website www.trevthedj.co.uk
You could also try the large upstairs room at the Lordship pub (ex-Mag) on Lordship Lane, the community centre on Darrell Road or the Albrighton community centre on Dog Kennel Hill. I've used/been to all of these for parties and they've all been good (I think the Lordship is the nicest of these). I believe the Ivy House in Nunhead also has a room available for rent. Good luck!

Another recommendation for DJ Trev - he put on a disco for my 8 year old's birthday yesterday along with 40 of his classmates. Trev was brilliant, kept them entertained for 2 hours with boundless energy and enthusiasm!

We also used the Constitutional Club again - a great space for a big party and plenty of room for any adults who need to / decide to stick around.

    • Ash tree branch. Before speculating as to cause and whether it was deliberate or not, it’s worth remembering that there is ash dieback around. Also tree branches fall off without warning, especially if there’s internal rot or disease which is not outwardly apparent. And yes, there are regular checks done on the health of the trees in the Wood.
    • Dulwich folk well particularly ED folk have more money than certainly me - £4.00 for bread and butter? That is outrageous and I certainly would not pay £30 for an organic chicken - weird one is pate and runner beans combo. Don’t think butcher on Lordship Lane charges that but each to their own - live in Devon now and no way is an organic chicken that price!!
    • I was sitting on the park bench yesterday opposite north Dulwich station and found an Apple Watch hanging off the corner. I have brought it home and charged it hoping that someone might use ‘find my’ to locate it. Equally happy to be contacted this way to return it to the rightful lender / they just need to say what colour/kind of strap it has. If you can think of a better way to return it / find its owner then please advise. And/or feel free to share on other local fora.
