gm99
Has anyone had a Victorian staircase refurbished? Ours creaks pretty badly and as we're about to get it repainted I'm wondering about options to get the carpentry refurbished, including what's involved, timescale and costs. Ours is 21 steps in 3 sections. Many thanks,GM Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/90011-creaky-staircase-refurbishment/ Share on other sites
Calsug
i used david Taylor from wood4stairs to do ours, did a fantastic job and you couldn't tell which ones had been replaced. We had a few broken treads which he replaced with MDF as ours were also painted so no need to stick to pine (and a lot cheaper) but it's personal preference Cost highly dependant on what needs doing and how many need replacing. Our staircase was fixed in a day. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/90011-creaky-staircase-refurbishment/#findComment-948535 Share on other sites
