We've used the following company and they are brilliant [www.swimminglessonslondon.co.uk]

(give them a call and explain what you are looking for rather than looking at the website for too long- its a bit naff)

Paul is extremely good with reluctant swimmers and very patient but all the teachers are good

They teach using pools up near London bridge .

We use the group classes (max of 4 pupils) per group but I know they also do 1 to 1

St Dunstans School has swimming classes on a Sunday, 121 also available. Daughter has joined recently and is loving it, teacher is patient and calm with reluctant kids. Classes are up to 6, I've heard that this is a better ratio than most lessons. Not too busy, warm pool, nice teachers, recommend it. http://www.stdunstansenterprises.co.uk/st-dunstans-active/swimming/

    • Had a meal at Chern Thai  in Grove Vale today - a belated birthday meal for me. We have the lunch time specials as they are good value. Hubby used to go there every week but had not been for several months due to illness.  Pao was happy to see us again and as usual the food was excellent .   0208 693 9749
    • We now go to the Forest Hill pool - more expensive (we are silver swimmers at ED)  but much easier to book in person. Can book and pay for several swims in advance. Better and cleaner facilities.
    • So are you saying that smoking these awful vape things are not harmful to someone’s health Alan? I think Sue’s reply to my question explains about how vapes are addictive and also contain very high amounts of nicotine which is the main culprit for smoking related deaths?   Can someone tell me how much a vape thing  costs?
    • I'm down about 50% in numbers and more in species since three years ago.  Not sure if it is the weather, continual building works, the quality of my feed or the pigeons and parakeets putting off others.  Good conversation on Winterwatch on feeding tonight, including issues with spreading disease. Three years ago, likely to see long tailed tits, dunnocks, song thrushes, corvids, wood pigeons. black birds, black caps. Possibles - redwings. Unlikely to see any this weekend, only blue and great tits, robin, goldfinches, bloody feral pigeons.
