peugeot 106, 1994 (white-ish)

if you want a car just to whizz about in london and fill up with rubbish from your building job/allotment/whatever, this is perfect. she CAN go further afield (and is very fuel efficient)but if you do a lot of miles this probably isn't for you. I took her to suffolk a few times and nothing bad happened.

needs a bit of work (eg. noisy exhaust, driver door handle a bit bust but fixable, characterful but operational clutch otherwise she is a goer)

no MOT

BUT half a tank of petrol, or thereabouts! bargain.

so old you can replace parts with basically anything and it will go

would be great if you are into banger rallies/want to drown out the sound of your children with engine noise/if you just want to buy a car for your ungrateful teenager to show them how hard driving USED to be as the only kind of park assist in this car is the assistance your passenger will have to give you by hauling on the wheel as there is NO power steering! actually if you love your children at all don't buy this. there is no airbag to be seen.

I love her anyway. Genuine low mileage under 70,000 will probably live forever.

she has denim seats and a cd player. I will throw in a neil young cd (or doris day if that is your thing) if you are the kind of person who likes to haggle

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
