Please note. In the last few weeks I've been into the Cherry Tree in my suit after 7.30pm and it has been most welcoming. One evening I even went in with a briefcase (brass hinges) yet still had a great chat with a builder and an off duty fireman. Not only was the service super friendly but the food, booze selection and general diversity was spot on.

Suits fill your boots.

Would they accommodate a Next suit? Asking for a friend.

I've been in the Cherry tree in a suit. I've been in the Cherry tree in hi-viz and boots...( clip-board optional!!) i've been in the Cherry tree in jeans and trainers...never been treated any differently...always friendly and helpful... nice to be important, important to be nice..:)

I do not wear a suit to work - instead opting for slacks (with a neat crease), shirt, and optional knitwear. Sometimes I do not have time to polish my shoes for a couple of weeks.

Do you think I would also be welcome in the Cherry Tree after 7:30pm?

During the old Regime some 10 years ago my mate had his stag night there..

.... He is a bit of a joker and insisted that I presented myself smartly...

.... I obliged by wearing a suit and two ties... Extra smart.. The 'Bouncer' asked me why I was wearing two ties and I

.... explained the situation. He asked me if I was taking the P*** out of him. I said 'No' and I was asked to leave.

You couldn't make that up..

    • Hi all I have a large bag of maternity clothes, for a size 6-8 (pre pregnancy size).  It’s a mixture of jeans (with stretchy stomach area), leggings, tops, summer dresses etc. Free to anyone who wants them but keen to give the whole bag so not separating out. Mixture of high street labels. From a smoke and pet free home.  For collection only from Brockley Rise area.  Thanks  Aimee

    • I also used reviews on the forum to find Nico. He was excellent. He repaired a toilet seal ,fixed a loo seat and sorted out a dripping tap.Nico is delightful. He is a lovely guy who would only take payment when he was sure I made sure everything was working. Punctual and reliable. I will be using him again a real find.
    • Do you have evidence that there is an increase in drop kerb applications in Southwark?
